2. Programme Overview
The BDS Animal Health Ambassador Programme allows approved ambassadors to earn commission by promoting BDS products using unique tracking links and discount codes.
Upon approval, Ambassadors will receive:
- A unique affiliate tracking link
- A personalised discount code to share with their audience (10% off for followers)
- Access to approved product images, key ingredient information and talking points
- Selected BDS products for personal use, review and promotion, with additional products available at a preferred discounted rate
- Monthly discounts on BDS products for personal use and promotion
These benefits are subject to change and will be communicated to Ambassadors in writing with a minimum of 14 days’ notice. BDS reserves the right to update, modify, suspend or terminate the Programme at any time.
2.1 Programme Term and Renewal
- The Programme operates in fixed terms of three (3) months. Upon acceptance, Ambassadors are enrolled for the current term.
- Ambassadors who meet the posting and conduct requirements throughout their term will be automatically enrolled into the following term, with no need to reapply.
- Ambassadors who do not meet the minimum requirements during their term will not be automatically renewed and may be removed from the Programme at the end of the term.
- BDS reserves the right to review participation and renewal at its sole discretion.
3. Commission Structure
3.1 Commission Rate
Ambassadors earn 15% commission on the net sale value of eligible products purchased through:
- The Affiliate’s unique tracking link
-
The Affiliate’s assigned 10% discount code
For the avoidance of doubt, Ambassadors may not earn commission on their own purchases (self-referrals). Any such transactions will be reversed.
3.2 Net Sale Value
Commission is calculated on the net sale value, which excludes:
- Shipping fees
- Taxes and GST
- Refunded, cancelled or charged-back orders
Commissions are earned only on successfully completed and paid transactions. Any commission paid on a subsequently refunded or cancelled order will be reversed from the Ambassador's balance.
3.3 GST & Tax Obligations
Commission payments made to Ambassadors are inclusive of GST where applicable. Ambassadors are solely responsible for declaring income earned through the Programme in accordance with Australian Tax Office (ATO) requirements. BDS recommends seeking independent tax advice if required.
4. Discount Code Policy
Each Ambassador receives a unique 10% discount code for their audience. The following rules apply:
- Ambassadors are strictly prohibited from publishing their discount code on coupon aggregation, cashback, deal or voucher websites
- Codes may not be combined with other BDS promotions unless explicitly approved in writing
- Codes may not be altered, rebranded or transferred to another person
- BDS reserves the right to deactivate any code that is being abused, misused or applied in breach of these Terms
5. Commission Holding & Payment
5.1 Holding Period
All commissions are subject to a 30-day holding period from the date of sale to allow for returns, refunds, fraud and chargebacks.
5.2 Minimum Threshold
The minimum payout threshold is $30 AUD. Balances below $30 AUD will roll over to the following month automatically.
5.3 Payment Schedule
Payments are processed monthly following the 30-day holding period, via:
- PayPal
- Direct bank transfer (Australian bank accounts only)
Affiliates are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date payment details. BDS is not liable for missed or delayed payments resulting from incorrect information provided by the Ambassador.
5.4 Commission at Termination
Upon termination of the ambassador relationship, commissions that have cleared the 30-day holding period and meet the $30 AUD minimum threshold will be paid in the next regular monthly payout cycle. Commissions that have not yet cleared the 30-day holding period at the time of termination will be forfeited.
6. Ambassador Content Requirements
This section applies to all ambassadors, including creators and social media influencers.
Upon receiving products, Influencers are required to create and publish content within 14 days of receipt. Failure to post within this period may result in suspension or termination from the Programme.
