Choosing between Osteo Connect, Luminous and Energy +Plus starts with one question: what do you want to support in your dog's daily routine? These products have different purposes, ingredients and feeding methods. A joint-support meal topper is different from a skin-and-coat supplement or a nutritional drink for working dogs.
This guide compares three BDS Animal Health formulas so you can check the right product page, understand what is inside and decide what to discuss with your vet.

Osteo Connect: a joint-support meal topper
Osteo Connect is BDS's joint-support powder for dogs. Its three highlighted ingredients are green-lipped mussel powder, glucosamine HCl and chondroitin sulfate. The meal-topper format lets you mix the measured amount into your dog's usual food.
When comparing joint products, check the formula and serving instructions as well as the format. Two tubs that both mention green-lipped mussel may contain different ingredient forms and concentrations. Their scoops are not automatically interchangeable.
If your dog is limping, reluctant to move or uncomfortable, arrange a veterinary assessment. A nutritional supplement does not identify the cause of a mobility problem or replace prescribed pain treatment.
See Osteo Connect's ingredients and feeding guide.
Luminous: skin and coat nutrition in a powder
Luminous brings functional oils into a powder meal topper. Its listed key ingredients are flaxseed oil, fish oil, MCT oil, beta-sitosterol and vitamin E. It is designed to support skin and coat condition as part of your dog's daily nutrition.
That makes the product's purpose different from Osteo Connect's joint focus. Choose by the support you are looking for, rather than assuming that every meal topper does the same job.
Persistent scratching, sore skin or hair loss deserves a veterinary assessment. A coat supplement should not be used to diagnose an allergy or delay treatment for an underlying skin problem.

Energy +Plus: a nutritional drink for active days
Energy +Plus is a milk-flavoured nutritional drink for working and active dogs. The formula lists hydrolysed whey protein, glucosamine HCl, 31 vitamins and minerals, and electrolytes. Unlike the two meal toppers above, it is mixed with water according to its feeding guide.
Start by checking the product instructions and your dog's existing diet. Extra activity does not mean every dog needs the same supplement or serving. Consider the whole feeding routine, including meals, treats and other additions.
Keep ordinary fresh drinking water available. A nutritional drink is not a treatment for heat illness or dehydration. Unexpected tiredness or difficulty coping with exercise calls for veterinary advice.

Before you add a supplement
- Choose one clear purpose. Write down whether you are exploring joint support, skin and coat nutrition, or support for a working-dog routine.
- Read the current label. Check the complete ingredient list, feeding guide and suitability information on the pack you buy.
- Use that product's measure. Do not transfer scoop sizes or serving amounts between products.
- Check the whole diet. Share other supplements and medicines with your vet before combining formulas.
- Keep a simple record. Note what you give and any changes you observe so a review is based on more than memory.
Common questions
Can I give all three products together?
Do not assume a combination is suitable just because the products have different purposes. Ingredients can overlap; Osteo Connect and Energy +Plus both list glucosamine. Ask your vet to review the products, quantities and your dog's existing diet before combining them.
Do these products replace my dog's food?
No. These are supplementary products. Use them alongside an appropriate diet and follow the instructions for the specific product.
Where do I find the right amount?
Use the current feeding instructions for the exact product and pack. If the online information and pack differ, contact BDS before feeding rather than guessing.
